Empowering the next generation through social entrepreneurship

Project Purpose

This project aims to raise awareness of social entrepreneurship among students, who represent the next generation of managers, leaders and entrepreneurs. By increasing their understanding of the real-world challenges and opportunities within the social economy, the project seeks to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to create sustainable social impact.

Through the exchange of experiences, innovative approaches, and best practices between businesses and social start-ups, the project will strengthen coordination, address capacity gaps, and foster collaboration within the social economy ecosystem. Ultimately, it aspires to inspire and prepare students to become socially responsible professionals capable of driving positive change in their communities and beyond.

Objectives

The overarching objective of this project is to strengthen the institutional, academic, and practical capacities related to social entrepreneurship through curriculum development, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based research. The objectives of this project are:

  1. Improving three module courses related to social entrepreneurship that will begin with the fundamental concept from a social perspective than highlight equity, justice, and social inclusion throughout the process and will assists in the formation of project ideas by students that include the social businesses concepts.
  2. Exchanging new experiences and best practices for businesses and social start-ups, including international actors.
  3. Raising students' understanding of social entrepreneurship through training, long-term learning case studies, exchange of experiences and social practices with businesses.
  4. Increasing academic staff and public understanding of social entrepreneurship because of scientific study.
  5. Improving the capacities of students in connection to social entrepreneurship and promoting students by establishing employment possibilities in social businesses against the problems they confront.
  6. Involve the Business actors with offering the greatest examples of social enterprises and the practices used.
